Episode academic description

'Wuthering Heights' is the only published novel by Emily Brontë, written between October 1845 and June 1846 and published in December 1847. It was first printed under the pseudonym Ellis Bell with the heading: 'By the author of Jane Eyre' after the success of her sister Charlotte Brontë's novel. A posthumous second edition of Emily' 'Wuthering Heights' was edited by Charlotte in 1850.
